Vista Beta 2 to Beta 3 updates? Full install or "update"?

If and when Beta 3 of Vista comes out, will it be an auto-update for users of
Beta 2 or will you have to totally download and install everything again?

The reason I'm asking is that my test system was configured as an "upgrade"
machine. Meaning I didn't install Vista as a clean install but upgraded XP. I
doubt I'll be able to install Beta 3 over Beta 2...or will that be possible?

How was the transition from Beta 1 to Beta 2 handled? Just wondering.

Sorry for the double post, but I keep getting errors when I try to post
saying it didn't post...then I come back later and find that it DID post.

Beta-to-Beta upgrades are not exactly encouraged. It's always best to start
back at square one again.
The Betas are issued as full installs only - not as 'updates'.

Beta questions should be asked in the vista newsgroups - of which there are
quite a few on these servers!

Wow, this seems to be messed up a bit as I thought I WAS posting in the Vista
newsgroups. As it's presented, you have "Windows Vista Newsgroups" and under
that drop-down it's made to look like there are sub-sections...with
windowsupdate being one of them.

But I'll post my questions there from now on, and thanks for the reply.

OMG - MS screws up again (or at least never told anyone here that this was
now to be considered a Vista NG!!)
Nothing new under the sun, is there?

Hmm - I see why now, this is obviously the 'post-release' hierarchy that's
there, rather than the Beta hierarchy....Ah well.....

Generally, unless the newsgroup name actually contains Vista, then it's not
suitable for the Beta discussions.

this newsgroup is not version specific, it's just for windows update in
general, and does show in the list of vista newsgroups.
