The problems that you experienced in the web interface means nothing to me
as I do not/will not use that stupid form of communication - its
old/slow/unreliable etc etc. Hence your double posting of your thread :-)
Tried it once and never again. Or you may not be using that discussion
groups search etc properly.

Insulting in newsgroups will get you nowhere - that is the only answer I can
give - take it or leave it.
I know nothing about Vista - it is betaware and I keep betaware off my one
and only computer.
I am certainly not technically minded enough to cope with the problems of
betaware and I am not a tester.
It would appear that you fall into this category as well as I - but at least
I have some idea how and where to ask about vista issues.
Just because it was not to your liking or what you wanted to hear is your
problem.
Your thread re updates for Vista is the third Q that has crept into WINDOWS
updates in the last couple of months.
I cannot remember reading any for updates in Vista.
The lack of response to your thread says something - it has yet to be
answered by any of the regular technically minded experts - perhaps they
feel your Q has been answered
The last Vista visitor was directed to the correct groups etc and was polite
enough to come back a say 'thx'.
However it appears to me that you have only yourself to blame in that I can
see you have not been keeping up with the latest form of this betaware - I
believe it is available here
http://download.windowsvista.com/pre...n/download.htm
With my little knowledge re vista, it would appear to me that the updates
you want cannot be downloaded because you are not up to date ;-)
But it didn't take me long to find out that possibility.
Just in case you are unaware of the vista services etc -
