Another random problem with vista for me :

Well, today I went to load up my computer which had been off for
days, and when I loaded it up, it froze on the log in menu. I the
restarted my computer. When it reloaded up it had the bar with the gree
loading bars load for an extra long time, and it seems to freeze for
few seconds mid load. After this screen the computer would go black.
then restarted once more and the same thing happened

After this kept occuring I tried to restart into safe mode, but i
still led me into the black screen. I do have the installation disk, an
when I put it into the disk drive and restart nothing happens, I do no
know if I need to press a button for it to load or not

This is my second problem I've had in the past (i fixed this problem b
stopping it from loading on startup), my first being Windows defende
running my CPU to 100% on load up. Vista is being difficult to me

Before the two days it was off, I made no changes or downloads to th
computer whatsoever

If anyone can help, it would be sweet. :

To use the DVD(full version of Vista, not Dell's?) for Repair, you will have
to change your Boot Order.

Right at startup, go into Bios thru F1, F2, or Delete; or Boot Order F12.
That is the normal ones.
Change your Boot Order to make the DVD Drive 1st in the Boot Order; insert
Vista DVD, reboot.
Unless the Hard Drive has had it, you will then have access to the DVD after
restart.

How long are you waiting at this black screen before just turning the PC off?
