I have just built my first pc and installed vista home premium, but every
time i try to play any audio, after a few seconds vista freezes (blue
screens).
When the pc comes back on it says that the nvidia nforce4 audio driver needs
updating. So i downloaded the latest driver off the nvidia website, but when
i try to install it it says that the driver is allready installed.
Smoebody in another discussion group told me to try and roll back the
driver, but when i do that option and button is greyed out.
can anybody help me please.

Have you tried doing a System Restore instead to see if it fixes the
problem? Also, check the Problem Reports and Solutions > View Problem (All
Programs > Maintenance) to see if there any recommended solutions. As for
the Blue screen, are you able to view the error message on it so you can
post it back here?

The person built their first PC, buts it not an indication that a System
Restore was never created.

I do not hav time to read the blue screen, the computer restarts about 3
seconds after theblue screen appears, my pc has seemed to set system restore
points after an update has been installed, so i think i will try and restore
my pc back to the earliest date.
