Vista Bootup Hangs

My Windows Vista Home Premium has been hanging up when it gets to the bootup
screen with the green bars going across the screen and the Microsoft
copyright notice. After some activity, the drive activity light goes off.
I've tried disabling most of the startup programs with msconfig, but the
problem still happens - intermittently.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

Intermittently? So it only happens sometimes? I'd suggest running the
internal memory diagnostic tool, and also a drive diagnostic from the
manufacturer.
