Vista BSOD's on audio that isn't 44100 Hz.

Anyone else have this problem or know how to solve it? I've got three
different sound cards I've tried this on, and it happens regardless of which
one I use (so I have to assume it's a windows problem and not a sound card
problem).

Whenever I play any sound that's not 44100 Hz (for example my voicemails get
streamed to my pc at 11025 Hz, or when a website has background audio, or
even watching a DVD at 48000), Vista gives me a BSOD and reboots the system.
The BSOD is gone so fast that I can't possibly read anything on there,
literally "blink and you'll miss it."

Anybody have any ideas?

Though off hand I do not have a solution for you,
I can start you off in the right direction with having a way to capture the
bluescreen message so that we can better assist you.

when starting your computer, if you hit F8 to bring up the Advanced Boot
Options Menu, (Sometimes referred to as the safe-mode menu). You can Select
an option to disable automatic restart on system failure.

The next time the bluescreen occurs, the system will not restart right away
and you will be left with the ability to record the details.

In Control Panel->System->Advanced options you can configure your system not
to automaticly restart when you get a BSOD configure that and then post the
error!

can try on my system ?

You can also get your BSOD auto-analysed at the Microsoft® Online Crash Analysis. If you experience a Blue Screen crash event, or Stop error, while using Microsoft Windows, you can upload the error report to this site for analysis. Microsoft will actively analyzes all error reports and prioritizes them based on the number of customers affected by the Stop error covered in the error report and try to determine the cause of the Stop error you have submit.
