vista (business) sidebar problem, loading lots of same gadgets

I have a sidebar problem same as the one raised by D L Hess in "Sidebar loads
100+ gadgets on startup". That is, the same gadget duplicately loaded when
starting up, just like there are thirty more clocks and calenders...... And
the gadget can not be removed and uninstalled since the desktop is then
frozen when clicking to do that. "D L Hess " suggest to edit the setting.ini,
however, i can not find such file in the link he provided. As well, i
searched in c:\ and found some, but it seems there is no duplicate entries on
it ...
So, who can help me?
