Am looking for a phone/Blackberry etc that has the capability to sync with
Vista Calendar, and one that I can directly download Excel files to.
Unfortunately I have Office Home & Student which does not come with Outlook,
so this is not an option. And NO the new Mobile Office 6 will not sync with
Vista Calendar (according the the techs I have talked to)

Once again Microsoft has stabbed us in the back (and wallet), the file
format for Microsoft Calendar is not the same as Outlook!

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Then buy Outlook if you feel its something vital to your workflow.

You could call it a mutual or neutral limitation between both parties.
Windows Calendar was not designed be a PIM type Calendar solution. Its a
basic day to day Calendar for persons who do not need to rich functionality
of Office Outlook through features such as syncing with mobile devices,
setting events, inviting attendees and so on.

being smug or curt to the average person does not help them in real life. I
agree... I cannot afford outlook, nor will I buy it or another
phone/application, etc.etc... but the use of a syncable calendar is a real
life need. It does not help to know there is no solution to sync my
blackberry with Microsoft calendar... try giving some credible alternatives
to this ever pervasive question?!?!

I suggest the possibility of linking/syncing with google calendar, I'm going
to try this route until Microsoft or someone out there finds a credible
solution.
