Hello, recently I got a BSOD and I decided to repair my system..
After popping in the Vista Repair CD and running the repair tool it has
been reported that my OS has disappeared,
I then decided to plug my HDD to another PC and check it using chkdsk
/R.
This made it usable again, as I could backup my data and so on.
However when back in Repair CD using the console I tried the
bootrec.exe /FIXMBR and so on the application couldn't still locate my
Windows Vista installation. I didnt came up in the installation list
either so I just had to press next till shutdown without gaining any
benefits

What else could I do before formatting?

Any hints are appreciated

Best Regards.
