Vista changes Windows Update settings

I changed it back to Notify and it is currently notifying me that I have
Windows Update set to notify me of updates and then I can select them to be
updated and installed. This morning after booting my computer Vista
installed, on its own, some updates and rebooted. After it rebooted I found
that the Windows Update was changes to Automatic. I changed it back to
Notify. What is doing this? Vista SP1 has not been installed. I getting ready
to download and install it now.
