I don't know why but I can't find my color scheme; i've searched for it
and recenltly i rememebered finding it under "Windows And Appearance "
in Appearance and Personalization.

I'm wondering :
1). why i can't find it
2). by any chance has it been moved ?

Funny but I went to check where it is so that I could tell you
and mine is gone also. The option to choose Aero is also gone
for the selectable color schemes.

ISTR setting the color scheme once and then telling the
appearance dialog to display the appearance settings so
that I could modify the specifics. Maybe that removed
something.

I don't think it's something with SP1. I saw these yesterday and I
installed
SP1 quite a while ago. I saw that Aero was only available if my system has
a Performance rating that supports this so I tried to check my performance
rating again, thinking that it somehow went down. I can't access this
either.
I can open the Performance and Information Tools dialog but I don't have
any rating information, not even the "rate this computer" selection.

Where is that selection?

It's set to 32 bit.

"Classic appearance properties" is not there. It seems to be a selection
only when the color selection is shown. In my case, the Classic Appearance
Properties seems to be the initial display and Aero is no longer in the
selection
choice. Only Vista Basic, Windows Classic etc.
