Open Notepad
Copy Paste registry patch in it.
(In this case the one suggested by Ramesh Kumar above. You may want to
consider creating a system restore point first. Always good to create
one before making changes to your system)
Save it on your desktop as, say, cpfix.reg
Now double click on this reg file
It will ask you if you want to add it to your registry.
Say Yes
Also say yes to any UAC prompts which may appear.

Happy Andy, Thanks for the fast reply. I now have this on my desktop and
ready to go. But one question came to mind since I am dealing with
registry. Do the < that are on the left side of all the registry items
affect the registry or should they be removed before installing? This is
just one more caution to avoid more problems. Thanks

I am using the above registry fix to fix this problem. I have copied and
pasted in word pad, saved to desktop as cpfix.reg. I have removed the >
from the registry fix. When I try to import to registry, I get a message
"not a registry script, can only import binary registry files from
within registry editor. Where do I go from here? Thanks Streetrod

I fixed it ..just did a reinstall of windows .didnt really wanna do that
but seemed like easiest fix and renames whatever viruses i had to a
different location so they dont run and gives me more time to scan for
them and remove em
