Hi, I'm trying to copy (make as an icon) an excel document into a wor
document

*Steps I've tried (In word):

1. Hit insert ta
2. Click on object button, then chose objec
3. Click on Create from File ta
4. Hit Browse button, then I chose the excel document I wanted copied
5. I have then tried Display as Ico

Didn't work. *I received error*: The program used to create this objec
is Excel. That program i snot installed on your computer. To edit thi
object, you must install a program that can open the object

I then tried not clicking Display as Icon, but still didn't wor
(received same error)

I thought maybe I need to do a Windows Update, but that came back as n
updates needed to be installed

I CAN open Excel, Vista. So that is why this is weird

Can anybody help

Thank

This question would best be asked in an appropriate Office newsgroup, as
it's not strictly a Vista issue.

I copied the excel I want pasted as an icon. I tried to right click
and all I see is paste (no paste special). I hit paste, but I ge
error

The program used to create this object is Package. That program is no
installed on you computer. To edit this object, you must install
program that can open the object
