Hello everyone, I built my machine a few months ago. Recently it started
crashing constantly. I can power it on and just let it sit....it will
give a BSOD usually after 10 minutes. The typical message on the BSOD is
memory_management. I also get bad_pool_header and
page_fault_in_nonpaged_area messages on my Blue Screens. These crashes
started to occur after I installed Guitar Hero III, AnyDVD, and DVD
Shrink. I have since remoed AnyDVD and DVD Shrink with no changes in
crash frequency. My system WILL crash every time it powers on....usually
within 5-10 minutes, and almost always the memory_management error. My
system specs are listed in my profile. Your assistance is greatly
appreciated!

Here are a few of the last Technical Information dumps on my BSOD's:
+++(This one didnt give a specific error)+++
Technical information:

Hi,

Did you remove any of those applications to see if the problems stopped?
That'd certainly be the first step. Judging from the myriad of error
messages you are recieving, you likely have a bad device driver that one of
those applications is loading at boot.

I'd try removing also Guitar Hero III, try booting again
if that doesn't work, try a restore point before you installed
any of them, if there is one. Also have you added any hardware
remove that, uninstall.
Do you do back-ups? there really good when this sort of thing happens

I do not believe this is a software issue relating to Guitar Hero III. I
have added no hardware. I removed half my RAM and still had the
memory_management Blue Screens. Now currently running on one stick of
2GB RAM and waiting to see if it still crashes. I've seen the suggestion
of running Memtest86+ to check for issues; however, other people citing
the same issues have used that tool with no findings and continued
symptoms. There are physical memory dumps on all of these errors. Anyone
seeing my system setup and the blue screen readouts see a smoking gun
here as to what the hell is causing this issue???

Any chance it is heat related? If it always happens after 10 minutes,
it might just be getting hot. Try leaving the side panel off and maybe
an external fan to check. It seems the software loaded is probably
causing the problem, but it doesn't hurt to check other things.

Have you tried any other memory timings or speeds?

If not that, have you checked your logs? Many time the logs will point
to a potential problem.

Even though you removed some of the software, there may be parts left
causing problems. Check what is starting and running. If nothing there,
try running a monitoring program so you can watch the CPU usage and
other parameters.

If you are lucky it is just software:
If you have a restore point before your problems started go there.
Uninstall your video driver, reboot to the VGA driver.
Reinstall your video driver.
If that does not work then the most common causes of BSOD are failing power
supply, failing hard driver, failing RAM or overheating.

1. Assume nothing
2. Take nothing for granted
3. Check EVERYTHING
and as Oldfart said do it step by step
missing out none - this applies to many things not just PC's

Go to start/programs/accessories/system tools/system information.

You can look at your memory and see what driver or hardware is loaded at the
faulted addresses. Or the memory itself is bad.
Or maybe the timings are wrong on your memory. Are you overclocking? Is your
PCI bus running too fast?

There's also a log at start/control panel/administrative tools/event viewer
that will tell you what caused each crash.

Here's what my hardware resources looks like:
