I would check the support and FAQ on the games web site, perhaps ask/peruse
their forums:
http://mabinogi.nexon.net/

Specifically, for the forums:
http://forum.nexon.net/Mabinogi/foru...spx?GroupID=19

I would ensure you have the latest:
- Video Device driver
- Audio Device driver
- Network Device driver

.... for your computer/operating system *from the manufacturer for each
device* - not Microsoft.

I would then scan the computer for malware in the following manner:

Reboot again and logon as an user with administrative priviledges.

Download, install, run, update and perform a full scan with the following
(freeware version):

SuperAntiSpyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/

Reboot and logon as administrative user.

Download, install, run, update and perform a full scan with the following
(freeware version):

MalwareBytes
http://www.malwarebytes.com/

Reboot and logon as administrative user.

Download and run the MSRT manually:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/ma...e/default.mspx

Might also want to CHKDSK and defragment the system.

Yes - all that will take some time (and research depending on how well you
know the hardware in your computer and how to obtain the latest drivers) -
but you can eliminate some of the basic issues and may fix your problem in
the process.

Do what the ops have suggested.

Also check the fan on the graphics card (if fitted) is free from dust
and spinning freely...

It sounds like a temperature problem or memory.

Check all the fans. If the case isn't well ventilated, the fans on the
components won't do much. As a test, you can remove the covers from
the case and see if it helps. If it does, you either have bad fans or
need more air in the case.

Does he play other intensive 3D games? Do they cause a crash?

"Mabinogi+crashing" in Google yields over one million hits.

I suspect poor game design.

If you must have a game, Solitaire works well.
