Yes! and here is how its doing it...
Listen to this not uncommon scenario:
Someone gets a new shiny VISTA computer (huge mistake),
then he-she realizes that NOTHING WORKS as it should with Vista!
After struggling with vista for several days-weeks, this person gets FED UP
with this piece of TRASH called vista and decides to install XP... but
wait... there is a problem..
now he or she will have to buy another OS for a second time (*).. the first
time the Vista OEM cost was included along with the computer he or she
bought, so now if he or she wants XP it means you have to spend another
~$150 for XP! (OEM)
This is a disaster! People don't want to spend this kind of money.. and in
their anguish and despair ... they try to think of a solution.
In such cases a little demon next to your head pops up.. the demon of
temptation... you can find XP pirated on torrent in seconds.. why not
download it from there? the demon bugs you and bugs you and bugs you.. you
say no.. then a friend comes along a XP cd he found that "magically works
without activation"... well after that temptation wins out...
Its not "your fault" anyway that Vista is crap.. you tried to play it by the
rules but Vista is not good enough! lol...
And here is my PREDICTION.. the above scenario is happening on a scale that
has never been seen ever before...
Vista is CREATING MORE PIRATES OUT OF SIMPLE LAWFUL PEOPLE THAN EVER
BEFORE!!!!
Vista instead of STOPPING Piracy its CREATING IT!
What do you think about this? :-)
NOTE: I DO NOT SUPPORT PIRATING>.. I support getting INFORMED about what OS
is good and what is CRAP. SO here is your information you need: VISTA IS
CRAP!
(*) In some cases you may be able to ask from the company you bought your PC
for a DEGRADE copy of XP and get a new license and use XP even though you
have bought vista, but this is not for everyone..

Microsoft quietly unveils Vista-to-XP downgrade
Software

Recommend article:Redmond (WA) - Microsoft has reportedly begun offering a
downgrade option to PC makers who want to allow their customers to have the
option of using XP over the pre-installed Vista software.
Computer manufacturers including Fujitsu, Lenovo, and HP now mainly offer
PCs exclusively with Vista pre-installed. Customers who would prefer to
have XP can request a downgrade disc for computers that come with Vista
Business and Vista Ultimate. These two versions allow downgrading as part
of the software licensing, but the process is difficult without a
specifically coded disc.
Several big PC makers never stopped offering XP as an option for
custom-built computers. However, the standalone operating system software
has nearly vanished from all retail outlets.
The new policy dates back to June, when Microsoft caved in to allow the
manufacturers to include a special XP downgrade CD with systems that come
pre-loaded with one of the two high-end Vista packages. Per Microsoft's
licensing terms, it is not obligated to supply earlier versions of its
operating system to consumers or manufacturers.
