How do you change the color of the wording under each icon? When I go to
properties and to advanced... It will let me change the font but not the
color of the font. I used to be able to do this on my desktop (with ME -
we won't go into THAT issue), but can't remember how I did it
Thanks Meenie

The only way to do this would be to switch to the "Classic" theme, you can't
change the desktop font colors using the Aero theme.

Go to properties and change your desktop to a solid colour with no picture.
If you pick a light colour, your text will be black; if you pick a dark
colour, your text will be white. Apply that change, then go back in and
select your picture for your desktop (if desired).

Yes, you can change the colour from black to white (or v.v.) in Aero by
changing the solid colour of the desktop before applying a picture background.

Good tip, thanks.

Still, not quite the same as having the ability to choose the color you
want, but using your tip will at least make text easier to read when the
backgrounds obscure the text.

eMeenie,Hope this is what you are needing as I thought I would go crazy
brfore i figured this out. I just got a pc with win vista and could not find
properties to change my colors, font or caption buttons.
Right click on the desktop and then PERSONALIZE
Click Window Color & Appearence
at the bottom click on open Classic Appearance Properties for more color
options
Appearance Settings comes up. On the right of Color Schems click on Advanced
and say hello to an old friend.
I was sleepless in Ok till now.......
