Vista desktop

How can I remove a folder that contains a program from the Vista desktop
without deleting the folder? For instance, I dragged an Adobe installation
folder from the All Programs list to the desktop, and now want to remove it
from the desktop clutter, but find when I delete it it is sent to the recyle
bin and removed from the "All Programs" list. When I resored it it only went
to the desktop and not the All Programs list.

Because when you moved it to the desktop, you moved it away from the All
Programs. You can drag it from the Desktop to the Start Menu and back to the
All Programs list. Same as the drag and drop to the desktop, just reversed.
