Vista disabling programs

I know that sometimes a new OS will not run older programs but why would
vista run programs then disable them later. That appears to be whats
happening. I have vista home basic. the program I'm mainly having problems
with is Adobe Golive v.6

The first place to check would be Adobe technical support. Do they tout v6
as Vista-compatible? If so, they should be able to offer you suggestions to
solve your problems.
