Vista doesn't recognize Password

I just turned on my new computer with Windows Vista, entered my password,
confirmed it..and now it doesn't recognize it, stopping my logging on. I
haven't had a chance to do a reset disk so what do I do to reset my password?

did you have CAPS LOCK in a different state when you confirmed?
Or did you forget that you used MiXed cAse for better password
security?

I did not have caps lock on. I even answered the question that I input to
help with the password. I also did not have time to do a password disk.
What do I do now?

Are you Typing your full user name in "Machinename\Username"
