Am I missing something?
You're using WPA on the wireless router with a built in NAT firewall?
Having a software firewall running also should not cause any problems.
The NAT 'firewall' in the router only helps keep others out; it does not do
what a software firewall is supposed to do, which is help stop unauthorized
OUTGOING or INCOMING traffic.
