For some reason when I try to reply to those who have helped me with an
answer it never comes up as posted.
So! thanks to those who replied to my question re.Regions.
I now know quite a bit more and won't order these NTSC DVD sets. Thanks

Hi, Old Mariner.

Are you clicking "Reply" on the News Toolbar? Please DON'T! That sends an
EMAIL to the sender, not a post to the newsgroup!

On the Actions menu (<Alt>+A if you don't have the Menu Bar showing) in News
you should see THREE options for Reply:
1. Reply to Sender - NOT the right button in a newsgroup; this sends an
email to the sender of the post you are trying to reply to.

2. Reply to All - NOT the right button in a newsgroup; this sends BOTH an
email AND a newsgroup post.

3. Reply to Group - THIS is the right button!

When you Customize the Toolbar in News (note that the Toolbar in Mail is
different), Remove the Reply button and Add the Reply group button. Then
your messages will go to the newsgroup and you'll see them here.
