Vista explorer tree focus on window open

Is there a way to ask vista to give the folders tree keyboard focus when
opening a new explorer window with the WIN-E shortcut.

I find the fact that the focus is currently put into the content pane area
really awkward (and a nasty change from XP).

I am not sure of how to make it be a default view, but you could Shift + Tab
to activate it.
