Vista falling apart

Vista has been really acting up on me lately to the point I've given up on
using my main PC (where Vista is loaded). I've tried multiple times to
restore to an earlier dates and the restore runs for a while then on the
restart a error comes up saying the previous verison didn't load. I've also
tried the Vista disk repair but as it runs through and completes nothing
changes. I even tried to run the upgrade disk again but it wont complete
either.
As of now I can't use Outlook and some of the built ins for Vista dont even
work when I click on them. I tried reloading Office on the PC and it'll work
in safe mode but will not normally. Vista is unstable and stalls. My hardware
checks out so its not the disk or any thing else. I'd love to just do a fresh
install but I only bought the upgrade Vista and my only XP version was on the
PC when I up graded.

Soooo, anyone have an idea how I can reload Vista for a clean install
without having to spend $400 for the full version?

Kinda wishing I'd stayed with XP.....

If you have Norton Antivirus, turn it off, then do a system restore.

There should be a provision to 'return the computer to factory' setting.
Have you contacted the manufacturer/vendor?

Have a read of the above. You might be able to take it back to XP, and then
try the upgrade again.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/68...n-install.html

And the above as well.

I Built the PC so there's no vendor to go back to. Thanks though.
