Vista File Search preview frame with Office XP

I just got a new laptop with Vista Home Premium installed. I'm using my old
copy of Office XP for productivity software. I like the file search features
of Vista in Windows Explorer, but it won't show a preview of my Word
documents in the preview pane / frame.

Is Word 2002 incompatible for this, or is it possible to make this work?

It does, by the way, preview emails from Outlook and HTML files stored on my
harddrive. I'm hoping I can get it to work with this as well.

Thanks.

Please note that Office XP is not certified for Windows Vista, so there
isn't a guarantee the software will work well. You could try applying the
latest Service Pack 3 for Office XP to see if it will resolve this issue.
You can also try posting in the following Newsgroup for Microsoft to see if
more knowledgeable persons might be help:

We can, however, offer an iron clad guarantee the Outlook 2002 will NOT
work properly.

Yeah... I found out about the problem with Outlook and ended up buying
Outlook 2007, but still use Office XP for everything else.

I tried installing all the service packs and Office 2007 Compatibility pack
to see if that would help, but still no luck. Any other advice would be
appreciated!

The only thing I can add is don't expect the Outlook problem to be
fixed because it's no longer a current product. I'm wondering if maybe
someone will eventually find a way to make it retain the user info but
so far, no, and the longer we wait the fewer people will be using
Office XP.

I'm afraid it's dead, I'd switch to Office 2007, sooner or later you'll
need to, might as well bite the bullet and do it now.
