My folders keep changing their size randomly! It's really annoying. Plus
if I go to, organize> folder and search options> View tab> reset/apply
to all folders, nothing changes!?

Is this another Vista bug?

How long has this OS been out for? jeez!

Hello ElBeasto,

Doing all of Method Two in this tutorial should help Vista remember
your folder view settings again for when the window was last closed.

Hope this helps,

Yes, that is really annoying. Keep changing folder pattern without
reason...to user.

I have read the link, it says "This will show you how to reset the Windows
Explorer folder view settings, turn off Automatic Folder Type Discovery, and
increase the folder view cache to have Vista remember the view settings,
folder type template, size, or position of all windows as you last left them
when closed."

But i dont see where it show how to do it.

Go here and download and run this script:
http://www.paulsxp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=155
This script will reset your folders to force Vista to remember your folder
settings.

Ok thanks for the helpful links but is this going to be something that
I'll have to do everyday? I'm already having to delete temp internet
files every couple of days because of favicons changing. I know it's not
a major problem, it's just annoying that these little things occur in an
OS that I've 'upgraded' to and that Xp's desktop gui didn't have these
bugs.

Cheers

P.S. Sorry about the whinge.
