Vista Freezing up Over Start Menu

I am using Vista Home Basic x32 sp2.
When I pass the mouse pointer over a particular item on the start menu
Vista freezes.
It always happens when the pointer passes over the same item.

It also occurs sometimes when I try to drag an item to a different location
on the
start menu.

Any idea why this would happen?

It's an exe, for Active Disk Image, like most other items the are in my
start menu's
main pane.

I've uninned it and it doesn't happen anymore.

And I figured out why vista was freezing when I tried to move an item
by dragging. If I would drag the item over the exe in question vista would
freeze.

My system freezes also when I perform the same operations from Explorer in
the folder
with the executable.

But this just started happenning whne I added memory recently.
I ran the Memory Diagnostic Tool and no problems were reported.

I've already set it to a permanent swap file of 3gb.
System runs well now except for that one anomily.

It was doing this prior to me setting a perminant swap file.
