Vista hanging

I have been looking in the forums for an answer to my vista ultimate
hanging up and have not found an answer. I was having this hanging
proiblem with the vista home premium that came with my system and
thought it was a problem so I loaded vista ultimate and started all over
with a clean hard drive. I am still having the problem. Sometimes
explorer hangs and sometimes other programs such as Word 2007. It does
not happen consistantly. The mouse continues to work and other programs
will work unless explorer has stopped working. Most times if I wait
long enough the program will start working agian. Can anyone help?

Hi,

Two different installations and the same problem still occurs. This is
because the problem is in the hardware, not the operating system. You have
either a faulty component or an incompatibility problem. I would run a
memory diagnostic as well as a hdd tool from the manufacturer. Beyond that
will require a technician unless you have the where-with-all to swap
components.
