Am having problems installing Windows Office 2003 on vista.... Is there meant
to be a new win office compartable for vis

Not sure about Basic, but Office 2003 installed ok & runs ok on Premium....

There should be no problems. Are you getting some kind of error . Can you post the error(s) and exactly what happens when you try to install Office 2003

As others have posted; need more info on what kind of problems or errors
you're receiving, but I'll tell you from personal experience that if you
have 512MB RAM installed (and if some of that is being dedicated to
supporting video, which means 512MB-XXXMB of video dedicated RAM=total
system RAM available for OS -and- programs) then even when you get Office
2003 successfully installed, you will be severely disappointed in the
performance of your PC (in general) and Office.

This is one of the things that has ****ed me off royally about new PC's
being sold with Basic... they all ship with 512MB RAM and that is just -not-
enough RAM (Aero or no Aero) to run Vista. I would suggest adding another
512MB RAM to your PC. Minimum. Assuming, of course, that you can get Office
installed successfully.
