vista home prem 32bit with msn messenger

I finally had moved on to 'vista'

(bye xp) anyhow, i like to run my laptop in battery mode or quiet mode.
dont know if u guys know when u ar running in those two mode, u cannot
run msn messenger. it will loaded but the msn window wont popup until u
turn the mode to high or game mode.....anyone know how to solve or is
just is how it build....with vista...anybody are having the same problem
or any solution to solve this? thanks
