Vista Home Premium, 32-bit

Dell reinstalled for me. Prior to reinstalling I did a complete PC backup
to Maxtor external hard drive. How do I restore only certain files? Such as
mail contact list, documents, etc. Actually, it won't let me restore any
files.

I also had trouble installing a Linksys-Cisco WRT120N router. My computer
could never recognize.it.

You need to tell us how you did the backup. What software did you use?
