Hi there, this is probably a simple question

Does Vista Home Premium support Dual Core processing, the reason I ask is
that I mainly use my PC for music creation and so far I have read bad reports
about Ultimate and its ability with ASIO and cracking, popping with recording
from inputs on soundcards.

Thanks

From the Asus P5B Deluxe Users Guide.
To use the EIST Feature:

1. Enter the BIOS Setup, On the Advanced Menu, highlight CPU
Configuration, then press “Enter.”
2. Set SpeedStep to “Automatic” and press “Enter.”
3. Press F10 to save your changes and exit the BIOS.
4. After computer restarts, right click a blank space on the desktop and
select “Properties” from the pop up menu.
5. When the display properties window appears, click the “Screen Saver” tab.

6. In the Power Schemes section, click the option window, then select any
option except Home/Office, Desktop or Always on.
7. At the bottom of the window click “Apply” then click Ok.
8. Close the Display Properties window

The EIST Feature will now slightly decrease the CPU internal frequency when
loading is low.
