Greetings Norman,
Windows Messenger is no longer supported on Vista, but you don't need it.
The Remote Assistance options are built-in to Windows Live Messenger on Vista and don't
require any additional software like Windows Messenger.
The option however, is not on the context right-click menu. You need to open up a
conversation window, choose the Activities button in the top toolbar and then choose Remote
Assistance from there.
