The OEM assumes responsibility. Like it or not, it's the way it is.

Are you saying your PC did not come with a TV tuner and a remote control?

I built the computer myself. I've been runing it for several months on Vista
without a problem. Using CyberLink to play HD-DVDs and DVDs, etc. But I
wanted to add a QAM tuner. That's when no Media Center became a problem.

Are you saying Microsoft can sell a crippled OS to an OEM and there is
nothing they can do?

Type the following in the Start_Start Search

%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe

Do you see anything appear at the top?

If I type in %SystemRoot% what come up at the top is
windows
windows\ehome\eshell.exe
windows\ehome\eshell.exe.config

If I click on windows\ehome\eshell.exe what comes up is
Windows cannot open this prigram because it has been prevented by a software
restriction policy. For more information contact your system administrator.

If I type in %SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe there is nothing at the top.

Do you, or anyone else, know, if I get Vista Home Premium upgrade, will it
upgrade me from Home Premium without Media Center to Home Premium with media
center? Or any idea who I should ask?

No, I can't find Media Center anywhere.
Thanks for the help.
Do you know, if I get Home Premium Upgrade, will it let me go from Home
Premium without Media Center to Home Premium with Media Center?
