Vista Home Premium

Having brought a new dell pc with windows vista premium i would like to use
the windows live messenger as i did with the Xp pc i had before

And it WON'T work ! any fixes anyone knows ? it just keeps trying to sign on
but never does ...

which error message occurs? No message? Have you downloaded the latest Live
Messenger version? Have you got a firewall or a router?

hey thanx for the quick rreply

got no firewall bar the windows one

no error message comes up either

got the latest version

got a netgear router

dear siresam am having same problem with my dell have tried most of
sugestions from live help will let you know if i have any sucess
