I hear that Vista is a flop. Is it OK for a home user? The computer I have
has Vista. It seems to be working OK.

I hear about Vista being so bad in certain areas.

never had any problems here....I think it all depended on the hardware
running it

In many cases Vista is better than Windows 7.
Take for example Vista's Windows Mail comparing
Windows 7 "Windows Live Mail" which comes
probably from the "last century" OS ..-)

Have had it for the past 3 years and works just fine except....

1-File and drive security is a real bear but there are ways around that.

2- unsigned drivers. If you use software that has an unsigned driver
it will not install the driver. But there are ways around that too.

Other than that .... works fine for me. You just have to get used to
using it.

Bad concept since winboobs 3.1.
The continuous hassle to install senseless "updates" that want a reboot.
The ratrace to have an updated antivirus program.
The unclear and hazardous rights management.
The fear of the DRM and it's tendency to waste Proc and RAM resources.
The computer controls you and not you, the computer.

In the end a time wasting OS.

But you know what'sbetter for you...
