Vista host networking problems with Intel wireless and VMware serv

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Vista Home Premium SP1. I am having a
problem with VMware server ver 1.x and my Intel wireless WiFi Link 4965
adapter. I cannot bridge the VM’s network adapter to the wireless adapter.
The wired fast Ethernet bridges without issues to the VM’s network adapter.
I can manually link the VM’s nic to the Intel wireless and I can talk to the
Vista host PC, but I still can’t get to the gateway. Before I reinstalled
Vista on the laptop, I was able to bridge either adapter to the host when the
host was running XP pro. I am not sure if this is an Intel, Vista or VMware
problem.
Can someone help me?
Thanks

Thanks for the response…I gave the VM’s nic a static address when I mapped
the VM’s nic to the wireless nic as stated in the original post. I could
then ping the Vista’s nic, but could not ping the router's gateway address or
anything outside the Vista host.

I would like to be able to have the VM connect to the internet when I am not
connected the wired Ethernet. When my laptop OS was XP Pro I had no problems
with the VMs connecting to the internet when my laptop was connected to my
network with the wireless adapter. Since I reinstalled Vista the only time
the VMs will connect to the Internet is when the wired Ethernet adapter is
connected to a switch. I have disable the firewall and the Antivirus and
nothing to date has helped….
