Vista/IE7: Internet works, Intranet does not

We've installed a laptop with Vista Business for testing. One of the weird
thing we've come across right away is that we can browse Internet sites,
but we cannot browse any of our Intranet sites. It doesn't matter if they
are http: or https:, IE7 always comes back with Page cannot be displayed.
We can ping them all. It does not matter if we use the host name, IP
address or FQDN.

Why would Vista not allow us to browse our local sites?

TIA

Try IE7> Tools>Internet Option>Security> take it from there.

still won't work. I tried to Terminal Service into some of our servers as
well. That also fails. However, I was able to browse shares on a server.
What the heck is wrong with Vista?

In where Mick sent you click on sites. Leave the top box unchecked and
check the other three. Does that help any?
