Vista Installation issues

I am having an issue with my friends computer. We are not able to use the windows update or install drivers because we get a message of 800b010a or the publisher isn't verfied. For some of the sites I am able to download the same drivers on my computer so the certifactes seem to be fine but with her computer she gets the message the certificates are out of date. Has anyone gotten then error? I went to microsofts website but trying to get help on there is horrible.
