Vista installed as 2nd o/s but original Win XP not recognised on bootup.

Vista shows up fine but the original Windows XP isn't given an option to
boot at bootup. I can view it's files from within Vista. Please help.

Try start-up repair from the DVD. It should see the XP system and mofify
the BCD. You can use EasyBCD (or VistaBootPro) to add the second system if
that doesn't work.

You cannot start Windows XP after you install Windows Vista in a dual-boot
configuration together with Windows XP:
