Vista Keeps Freezing and Locking down on me.
I am running a 2200+ AMD Processor
1250 Ram Memory
160 GB Hard Drive
I may have to format my hard Drive a go back to XP I have never had any
problem with XP.

Can you boot into Safe Mode and check the event logs for any error messages
that might help give a hint at whats causing the problem so we can help
better diagnose the problem? Have you updated all your devices such as your
video card for example? Have you ran a memory test using the Memory
Diagnostics Tool (Control Panel > Administrative Tools)?

Sounds to me like something went wrong during the installation. Reformat and
reinstall, if that doesn't work go back to XP and wait for the day come when
Microsoft admit there are problems with Vista and offer a real fix.
