Not sure where to put this so here goes...

I recently installed a 1Tb Hitachi Hard Drive. As far as I can tell, i
is working fine. I have filled half of it with with the contents of
smaller drives and all the content copied over flawlessly.

However, now, when I go to one paricular directory on the drive, I ge
a RUN32DLL error which causes windows explorere to shut down an
restart, srambling my quick launch, task bar, systray and desktop t
unrecognizable condition which I have to spend forever straightenin
out

I don't know that the drive has anything to do with it or if it's
coincidence that it just started happening after I installed the drive

Any ideas what could be causing this? I already did a virus scan wit
Avast and Spybot. Nothing there. I tried a scandisk on reboot, n
problems found. What gives

Thanks
Keefer :confused

A stab in the dark...
The folder may have a reserved name.
What is the name of the folder?

In XP, eplorer would crash when browsing a directory if certain file
types were present - explorer tried to make a thumbnail and crashed.

Don't know if this is relevant in Vista...

I have tried all the suggested solutions listed here with no change. A
for the Problem Report Control PAnel, it is not listed in there for som
reason. THere is no mention of it at all. The name of the directory i
F:\movies\comedy. I don't think that is a reserved name. I'm stil
stumped. thanks for all the help
