vista laptop XP desktop PC

Hi all,
We have a Desktop PC and a Laptop both running XP and using a LAN the Laptop
is wireless.
We want to get a laptop running Vista to replace the old one. Someone said
that you can't mix Vista and XP on the same LAN.
Is this true?

Hi
I have two laptops and 3 desktops in the house (kids, wife etc) laptops =
vista, others = XP and they all work fine on the same LAN..........

I have just setup Vista on my desktop and all the other pc's in the house
are XP and no problems here, who ever told you that obviously dont know what
they are talking about.
