Vista Local Administrator Rights

I am trying to install an older programme, but when i try to install in on my
Windows Vista Laptop i get an message stating that i have insufficient rights
and that i should log back on with local administrator rights?? This is even
though i am trying to install it in an administrator user account??

i have tried all the various compatability modes and i can get the programme
to load so far then it gets near the end of the installation and the error
message comes up.

What type of program is this, which Vista platform - 32 or 64 bit?

Designan

Try right clicking the installation file and select the Run As Administrator
option.

Do I really have to read and apply all that stuff just to be able to use
*my* computer?
