Probably just latency. First click either wakes the machine
up, or the OS is still waiting for input from a boot device.
IIRC, you shouldn't need to click it at all. Just move the mouse to
the location and the cursor should magically appear.
Might have to do with power settings and the mouse waking the
machine. But I used to get it with my machine, and don't
anymore, since I added an additional user. The first click there
selects the user, then I can type the password in. But, Mine is regular
home system. Do you have more than one user. Does she?
