Vista lost my Details columns

I use Vista Home Premium. I usually keep all my folder in Tiles view as
default. Occasionally, I will switch a folder to Details view to sort by
Date Modified or some such task. Recently, all my filders were switched to
Details view and show only File Name, all other columns were dropped. I
don't know what caused this but now I can't keep the view in Tiles as
default, it always switches back to Details. Except of course there aren't
any details so this is useless.

I have many folders. I have found the way to add the columns back folder by
folder in Details view. I would like to be able to add the columns back in
Details view to All Folders at once and have them remain. I would also like
to set my default view back to Tiles for all Folders. Can anyone tell me how
to accomplish this or if I can accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any
help.

Eileen
