Vista machine won't read DVD

I have a new vista machine with a Bluray drive. I burned a DVD+R in m
old XP machine with files I want to transfer across but when I put it i
the Bluray drive it won't show any files. It shows the name I gave t
the disk so something is reading, just not the stuff I want to see.

I read the thread from a few weeks ago about deleting a couple of file
in regedit, but one of the files wasn't there and I'm loathe to do it i
ignorance.

I'm not sure if it is a hardware or a software issue but would b
grateful for any suggestion

Hi,

There seems to be a general problem with Blu-ray -players on Vista-machines.

I can only find questions from people that have similar problems like you so
for the time being maybe you can copy the files some other way, maybe with a
USB-memory?

Thanks for your suggestions Peter and Patrik. The MS link didn't help,
and I can certainly do the USB memory thing, but it would be nice to
have the drive working properly!
cheers

I would respectfully point out that the link you suggest takes one to an
article on audio problems. Bruiser has a data disk, so that advice won't fly.

Have you checked that you have the latest drivers of the Blu-ray drive? Go
to the manufacturer´s website and look for what version the latest drivers
got and compare them with the ones you have on your machine.
