When using Vista Media Center it will record a program but it will not stop
recording. When I try to stop, it give a error that a crititcal process has
stopped working. This also happens when I try to delete a scheduled
recording. When this is happening I can only watch live TV on the channel
that was scheduled for the previous recording.

Hi,

Did you manage to resolve this? - I seem to have the same problem.

Thanks

Gareth

I'm experiencing the same issue. My system is schedule to record a sho
at noon & 3 PM Monday-Friday. When I get home @ 5:30 I see the Re
Recording Icon and it says it's recording the two shows but it's not.
have to restart my system to clear the Media Center error

Last night I did reinstall the software and drivers for my Dvico T
tuner card so I'll see if that fixed the problem tonight and post m
findings

I fixed the issue by editing the XML file keeps the details of whic
files are shedualed and have been recorded. If you search the file fo
the name of the show that errored in recording, you may find as I did
some differences to normal recordings. I just removed the entire nod
for the recording, saved the file and everything is good

Hope this help

Garet
