Vista Media Center Update

After going through many updates, including Vista Media Center I am unable
to obtain any version beyond 6.0.6002.18030 (Vista SP2). I am looking for
version 6.1.1000.18273

The problem is 6.0.6000.xxxx won't configure properly to display Clear QAM
(Verizon FIOS, New York).

The tuner is a hauppage HVR-1850. Clear QAM works fine with the provided
software from the vendor - but, not with Media Center (Vista).

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello Jamie, thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, that update has been
applied LONG ago and not relevant to this issue.
But, I'll keep trying.

Since the OP wants clear QAM support in Media center he has 3 choices.

Wait for Windows 7 since Media Center in Windows 7
or
US the tuner companies application
or
Install the TV pack

I suggest waiting another couple of weeks for Windows 7

Your initial post said you are at version 6.0.xxx, if you applied the TV
Pack/Items listed in that link, you would be at a version 6.1.1000.18273
(which is what you said you wanted).

Thank You Jamie, Curious and others for your suggested fix.

You were all absolutely right from jump start about the fix. My
misunderstanding about the fix. I am now at a higher version than the one I
was looking for and Media Center (Vista) works fine (with the exception that
QAM Music channels are not in the scan list).

To those who said that WMC Vista does not support Clear Qam - Not So!

All the best.
