Have you installed any other DVD players or Codecs such as Nero. If yes try
using a restore point to go back to before their installation since their
installation my have corrupted the MS provided MPEG2 decoder built into
Vista Premium and Ultimate.
You can use the other application and scan for stations since neither of
these operations requires the use of a MC compatible decoder.
